DiLauro Tax Law PLLC is owned and operated by Justin H. DiLauro, Esq, a licensed attorney in good standing by the State Bar of Texas and Supreme Court of Texas, and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, several US District Courts, and the US Court of Federal Claims. Mr. DiLauro is eligible to represent taxpayers across the US pro hac vice before many other US District Courts nationwide.
Justin has spent his 17+ year career consulting with and representing U.S. private, close-held businesses before the IRS with respect to Sec. 41 R&D, Sec. 179D, and other STEM and facts-based federal incentives. He is an avid author and considered a top national expert in IRC Sec. 41, 174, and 179D in particular to many tax professionals across the U.S.
Residing in Houston, Texas, Justin is a regular visitor to his native New Jersey, as well as his families’ origins of suburban Long Island and rural Upstate New York. He lives in the Meyerland/ Bellaire/ West University-area of Southwest Houston with his wife, Christina, and three young children and enjoys coaching Youth 7-on-7 Football, Youth Church League Basketball, and Little League Baseball.
Earning his Eagle Scout as a youth, Justin looks forward to giving Scouting a try with his children very soon, and in his spare time, he enjoys watching Michigan Wolverine football, as well as the Houston Astros and Sugar Land Space Cowboys baseball teams.
Justin earned his Bachelor's of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, College Engineering and his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Houston Law Center.
